Pottery Classes
Need to disconnect, unwind and forget about the outside world? I believe working with clay is the easiest form of meditation. My goal is to create a welcoming, safe and warm environment giving each student the ability to fully relax and start creating. Class sizes are no larger than 6 per class (private group classes max 10) giving each student the help and guidance required to create.

Bayside Pottery Studio offers the following classes:

4 week course in handbuilding (max 6 students) cost $320 per person (4 classes x 2hrs)
In this 4 week course you will learn the basics in handbuilding. The techniques you will learn are:

Pinch Pot
-
Slab building
-
Coiling and joining
4. Glazing and decorating.
Weeks 1 and 2 - You will spend making your pieces.
Week 3 - You will complete and trim your pieces. All completed pieces will then go into the kiln for the first firing.
Week 4 - You will glaze and decorate your pieces. All completed pieces will then go into the kiln for their final firing.

Taster one off class in handbuilding (max 8)cost $99 per person (1x2hrs)
In this introductory class you will be shown a variety of different hand-building techniques. You will learn how to pinch, coil and join to create basic forms such as a bowl or mug. Once your piece is completed you will select a glaze color of your choice. Over the next week I will fire and glaze your work. Pieces are ready to be picked up 2 to 3 weeks later (drying the pieces, glazing and firing is a lengthy process)
Clay, glaze, tools and firing are included in the cost of the class.

Please note: All class payments are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend the class 48 hrs notice must be given and the class can be transferred to another day. No shows are not eligible for rescheduling.

cost $99 per person(1x2hrs)
You can book your own groups whether it be corporate team building , a get together or a birthday celebration. Catching up with friends and learning a new creative skill is a great way to share an experiance . Students are also welcomed to Byo drink and nibbles.
Bayside Potter Studio also offers The Travelling Potter.....we come to you! (additional travel costs are applied if travel time exceeds 15km) Minium of 8 people.

Private lesson in handbuilding (max 1) $195 per person (1x2hrs)
One on one classes can be organised for those who wish to learn as much as they can in 2hrs. A great way to improve your skills for those who wish to learn new techniques.

Date Night - Private couples lesson in handbuilding (max 2) $240 per couple (1x2hrs)
Whether you are celebrating an anniversary or having a first date, Bayside Pottery Studio are offering private pottery, hand building classes for two.
